In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top social networking apps on the iOS platform in Lebanon showcased a variety of trends in terms of downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Threads experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 2K in early July and climbing to nearly 7K by the end of September. Meanwhile, its weekly active users grew steadily from around 26K to over 32K during the same period.

WhatsApp Messenger saw fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at around 4K in early September before tapering off to about 2.5K by the end of the quarter. Its weekly active users remained robust, maintaining numbers close to 600K throughout the quarter.

Telegram Messenger demonstrated a notable revenue increase, reaching as high as $843 in mid-September. Weekly downloads showed a significant rise towards the end of the quarter, peaking at over 6.8K, while its weekly active users hovered around 100K, with a slight dip in early September.

Facebook generated consistent revenue, with a peak of $940 in early September. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 2.4K, and active users stayed near the 600K mark throughout the quarter.

Messenger maintained a steady performance, with weekly downloads ranging from 1.2K to 1.8K. Active users showed minor fluctuations but remained above 160K during the quarter.
